Rain’s Gambit, Book 1

Commander Adrian Rain is an ace fighter pilot of the Dominus War. He’s made the jump from the cockpit to the bridge and has a lot to learn. His first posting puts him aboard the newest flagship of the Alliance, the USS Odyssey. Together, Adrian, Captain Lara Garrett, and the crew of the Odyssey will be setting out to test the new ship and its abilities on her maiden voyage. Unknown forces move against the crew which will have lasting effects. The Odyssey and Cmdr. Rain will have to summon every ounce of experience, wit, and skill to fight their way out of potential intergalactic war and return home. At the end of the day, it won’t be all the guns and missiles at his disposal that will win it for him, it will be the diversity of his crew, his tenacity, and his faith in himself.

Picking up right on the heels of Book 1, Adrian and the crew must get the Odyssey back to their home galaxy, using an experimental drive that none of the crew trusts. Further complicating matters is the fact they are being relentlessly pursued.
Adding to his dread, Adrian will have to face a Congressional Inquiry into his actions and orders during the “Incident.” Knowing for certain that he won’t exactly be the most popular for going against the doctrine and potentially exposing the Alliance to a new and deadly enemy, Adrian is faced with grim prospects for his career’s future.
The only question is will he be able to stand for the Alliance’s defense when the inevitable hammer falls.
